Your help is needed!
The Pratt Health Foundation is applying for 70% Kansas Community Service Income Tax Credits this summer.  Part of the application process requires quantifiable pledges from individuals and/or businesses which validate the requested income tax credit amount.  These pledges are submitted with the application before the Pratt Health Foundation’s application can be considered.  We need $250,000 of pledges by July 15th

A successful application gives us the authority to tell the State where we would like our income tax dollars spent.  We are applying for $250,000 which will be used purchase new Orthopedic Surgical equipment (drills, saws, etc.).

If you pay Kansas Income Tax, you can participate in this program.  The easiest way to explain the program is to give an example:
If your Kansas Income tax obligation is $1,000, you have an option.  You can give the same amount to the Foundation and get a 70% tax credit which will go to the PRMC Orthopedic Surgical Power equipment replacement project.  The Foundation will provide the tax forms you will need to get the $700 Kansas Income Tax credit.

Furthermore, if you itemize on your Federal taxes, you can claim the donation as a charitable gift.  Please consult your tax advisor regarding your tax situation.

The trick is that pledges are required with the application before the Pratt Health Foundation’s application is approved.  All pledges are contingent on a successful Kansas Community Service Tax Credit application.  If the Community Service application is denied, you do not have to honor your pledge.

If the Pratt Health Foundation application is successful, there will be tax credits for the 2018 and 2019 tax years.  Any credits that exceed your tax obligation are refunded.  The Community Service donation level must be $250 or more.

Please contact the Pratt Health Foundation office (620-672-6411) if you have any questions or would like to participate.
