Lighted Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 14 at 5:30 pm
Rules & Regulations:
- The parade will begin on Saturday, December 14th promptly at 5:30 pm
- Each entry will maintain a space of no more than 25 ft. behind the entry in front of them at all times during the parade.
- Entries may only stop to perform periodically during the parade.
- Musical groups are encouraged to provide music for the entire length of the parade route for enjoyment of the spectators.
- All entries with animals MUST provide for clean-up of the staging area, along the parade route, and after the parade.
- The parade travel route will be south on Main Street from Second Street to Sixth Street
- Each entry is required to conform to the theme of the parade – Candy Cane Lane
- No entries will be allowed in the parade with a live Santa
- No float is to be higher than 14ft. above the ground.
- Commercial entries must be crowd-pleasing
- Each entry is responsible for their own equipment

Staging Area
- All entries must be in their position in the staging area by 4:00 pm on parade day.
- Judging will take place from 4:00 to 5:00 pm
- The only vehicles allowed in the staging area will be those that are part of the parade.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the staging area or during the parade. Violation of this rule will result in removal from the parade and disqualification from the judging contest.
Walkers/Marchers
- Walkers must carry an identification banner during the parade
- All walkers are encouraged to be dressed in the theme of the parade and MUST WEAR Lights
Others:
- Each entry will be advised after December 6, 2019 of their position in the parade along with a map describing their location in the staging area. Staging positions are subjected to change at any time; notification of change will be communicated through the parade committee.
- The parade committee reserves the right to refuse any applicant at any time. A written explanation will be provided upon request.
- Each entry is required to submit a description paragraph to be read by the parade commentators. This paragraph MUST accompany the application.
- Horses will be staged in a designated area to be announced.
- Candy thrown from the floats is not allowed; walking and handing out candy is suggested.
