E-Blast January 15, 2021

Happy Friday!

Please continue to wear your masks, social distance when possible and wash your hands frequently. Let’s all do our part to keep our community healthy!

As a friendly reminder, we strongly encourage all business owners and employees on Main Street, to please park on the side streets leaving the prime Main Street spots for customers. This is just a small courtesy we can do for each other! If you are already parking off Main Street, thank you!

If you live or work in Pratt County and are interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, please complete this survey,

Pratt County’s COVID-19 Vaccine Survey

This survey is designed to measure the interest of Pratt County residents in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. The way the vaccine is distributed to high-risk groups and the general public will depend on many factors.

Pratt County, Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt Internal Medicine Group and Pratt Family Practice are all working together on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine as it becomes available. To be placed on the schedule, you must complete the online survey.

We are following all CDC and KDHE Guidelines for scheduling community members in a manageable and very specific, phased approach. We thank everyone for their patience during this process.

Please understand this is a huge task and it will take time. If you have already completed the survey, we will call you to schedule your vaccine appointment. Please do not call the Health Department to check on your status, we will call you when we have your vaccine available.

We will continue to offer vaccine clinics over the next weeks and months for all who want the COVID-19 vaccine. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Did you know that reading to your child is one of the most powerful ways to boost his or her brain power? The simple and enjoyable act helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge – all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten. The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success! Any child ages birth to five years can participate. Sign up at the Pratt Public Library and get your free materials.
