It’s time to take the 2021 Pratt County Community Health Needs Assessment. This Community Health Needs Assessment is conducted every 3 years for Pratt County by Pratt Regional Medical Center and the Pratt County Health Department with oversight and input from the Pratt Health Coalition. BTI Pratt – Customer Appreciation Day

BTI will be having customer appreciation days a little different this year with an open house style with refreshments all day long and giveaways throughout the day! We will NOT be serving lunch. We will also be giving away a loaded John Deere tool box with authentic John Deere tools (with a minimum purchase requirement to be entered into the raffle) as well as a Traeger Bronze Pro Series Grill. We will also be giving customers big savings off their entire purchase when using cash or John Deere Multi-use account. Some exclusions apply, contact your local BTI dealer for more details!

Temporary Summer Help

The City of Pratt is accepting applications for temporary summer help in the Sanitation Department. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 40 hours per week. Applications may be obtained at 619 S. Main in the Public Works & Inspection office or online at www.cityofprattks.com.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Do you have a child under the age of five? We’d love for you and your child to join the Pratt Public Library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program! Did you know that reading to your child is one of the most powerful ways to boost his or her brain power? The simple and enjoyable act helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge – all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten. The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success! Any child ages birth to five years can participate. Sign up at the Pratt Public Library and get your free materials.

Nature Journal Challenge

Kids can learn about nature in a fun and interesting way! Sketch and write about outdoor discoveries. Complete a Nature Journal from the library and get a free STEM kit!

Fifth – Twelfth Grade Activities:

There are places to study & computers to use for homework & research. Teens are welcome in the Maker Zone to express themselves through creativity. They are also welcome in the Discovery Zone for tabletop gaming, VR Headsets, & many more hands-on & electronic gadgets.

All teen programming will be held @ the Teen Center, 408 S. Main St. Open weekdays 3:45-6 pm. Open until 7:30 pm on Tuesdays.

Craft Night – Sensory Bags

Tuesday, March 9 – 6:00 pm

Stacey & Hannah Powell will lead us through making sensory bags!

This program will be held LIVE over FB Live & IN PERSON @ the library in the Maker Zone.

There is no limit to how many can participate. There are 4 different styles. You can make 1 or all 4! $2 per project. All supplies provided. Any remaining supplies will be available to pick up at the front desk as kits to put together at home following the instructions on the FB Live feed.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Wednesday, March 17 – 3:30 to 7:00 pm

Fun activities and snacks will be available throughout the Library!

New Space!

The Discovery Zone will house our Young Adult books. This space has learning activities, tabletop games, VR Headsets, 3D Printer & other electronics. In the future this space will provide a variety of training classes & be available to be used as a small meeting room. Stop in to see the beautiful mural.

FREE Tuturing:

With school starting up again, whether in person or online, you may just need some extra help. We have a team of people ready, willing & able to tutor! Elementary, Middle School, High School or College. No matter the age or grade. Free tutoring is offered to everyone! Talk to Eric Scott Killough today & set up a time for tutoring!
