We often hear about bad service, well it’s time to start rewarding good service! If you have received great customer service please let us know at the Chamber. We would like to start giving a monthly award to a person and their business for great customer service but we need YOU to tell us about your experience. Please send us an email and tell us so we can start rewarding our customer service rock stars!

2018 Miss Kansas Pageant Tickets
The 2018 Miss Kansas Preliminary and Final night competition tickets will go on sale, May 1, 2018 through Select-A-Seat outlets. You can purchase tickets by visiting or by visiting the Miss Kansas website at Miss Kansas Competition tickets may be purchased in the Miss Kansas Pageant Office during pageant week.

Join us as we celebrate the Leadership Pratt class of 2017-2018! Adrion Roberson, teacher with the Kansas Leadership Center, will be our guest speaker for the evening. We will also be recognizing this year’s Servant Leader recipient, past winners include Mark Ploger, Barbara Shinkle, Jeanette Siemens, Bill Keller, Lisa Coss, Gary Barker and Marie Hanson. Local Honey – Getting Started in Beekeeping

Joanna Will got her start in beekeeping nearly 40 years ago, helping her dad with his 40 hives of honey bees. She fell in love with honey bees during the first honey harvest, and has been inspired by and involved with bees ever since. She keeps around five hives of bees these days, on farms in Osage County and Douglas County, and is just venturing into making soap that includes products from her bee hives. With her husband, she also raises landrace sheep, Scottish Highland cattle and a handful of chickens, ducks and donkeys. She works for the Kansas Rural Center, doing Pollinator Programming.

Please join the Pratt County Extension Master Gardeners’ as they welcome guest speacker Ellen Mohler, Operator of Mulberry Lane Greenhouse, to advise everyone on how to garden in extreme climates. Permanent Collection Showcase
North Gallery

This exhibition highlights pastels and photographs from the Dr. Vernon & Emily “Mimi” Filley Permanent Collection. The exhibition also features new works of art that were recently donated to the museum permanent collection. Several of these pieces have not yet been on display at the museum. The 7 newly accessioned works include: A Lithograph by R.C. Gorman that was donated to the museum in 2017 by Dr. James and Mary Ann Van Blaricum; a bronze sculpture by George Lundeen that was donated to the museum in 2017 by Pratt Glass (LeRoy and Susan Jones); a ceramic vase and bowl by Carol Long that was donated to the museum in 2016 by the Larrison Family and Dough Brehm; a bronze sculpture by Tim Joseph commissioned and donated to the museum by The Shinkle Family in 2015; a spirited gear sculpture by Luis Perez-Aguayo that was donated to the museum in 2018 by Dale Withers; and the Courtyard Iron Gates by Dustin Sypher, which were commissioned and donated to the museum in 2014 by Doug & Kay Knight.

The Doug Herren Ceramics exhibit will be supported in part by a grant from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. This exhibit has also been sponsored in part by PRMC and Sue Peachey Insurance.
