Circles of Hope Big View Meeting on Mental Health
Monday, June 29 – 6:15 pm
First United Methodist Church Sanctuary
Representatives from PRMC, Horizons, law enforcement, schools, etc will be present to visit about services and/or concerns and issues faced because of Mental Health.   Dr. Mark Green, psychologist from PRMC, will moderate the discussion. 
Masks are encouraged and we will have some at the door along with sanitizer.  The conversation will also be hosted on Zoom, but anyone attending in that manner will need to get their email address to Jeanette Siemens,

City of Pratt Residents – Free Disposal Week at the Pratt County Landfill
Monday, July 6 – Saturday, July 11 with NO FEES!
You must bring a valid ID or City Utility Bill with your city address to access the free disposal. All vehicles will be required to go across the scales and all materials must be sorted. (Metal, brush, mattresses, tire, concrete and asphalt and tires must be less than 20” in size) NO household chemicals or paint will be accepted at the Landfill. All household chemicals will be accepted at the Pratt County Recycle Center, 1102 S Main Street. If you have questions, please call 620-672-4107. The City of Pratt will NOT be picking up any items this year.

The event will provide them with expert teaching and principles for a lasting relationship while challenging them to see the greater purpose of marriage—to glorify God and advance his gospel. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services is required; Master’s preferred
Requires a LAC or LMAC; dual license with Master’s BSRB preferred
Prior work in addictions prevention or treatment is preferred

The Library is currently open to the public for pick up and drop off services, computers are still available but social distancing is being observed and masks are not required but encouraged. Tutoring is also available.

Pratt Wild Lifers Summer Reading Challenge
Earn a fishing pole by reading 8 books from the Summer Reading Challenge cart by July 31. Parental consent is required to participate.
Imaging your Story Summer Reading Program
We will not be having activities this summer. However, kids will be able to win prizes by filling up their timed reading charts.
Fifth – Twelfth Grade Activities:
Imagine your Story Summer Reading Challenge
We will not be having activities this summer.
HOWEVER, Teens are still able to register & earn prizes for reading!
Prizes are earned as follows:
250 points earns a Sticky Note Pad
500 points earns a Drawstring Book Bag
1000 points earns a Water Bottle.
There will be a Grand Prize package To Be Announced for the reader of the most pages.

Imagine your Story Summer Reading Challenge
Register then take a sheet to write the information for each book you read. Place each slip in the silver box located at the front desk to be entered into our prize drawings.
Activities for All Ages:
Summer Maker Program-Take & Make Edition
Get a kit for every family member to take home & create together!
The kits include most supplies & written instructions. There are also video tutorials on our Summer Maker Program event on the Pratt Public Library Facebook page. Participants will be entered into prize drawings.
There is a new project each week.

Vernon Filley Art Museum
For Museum Hours and Admission Fees, please visit
Limit to 5 customers in the facility at a time
Social distancing will be maintained by anyone entering the museum, masks will be encouraged
Items in the gift shop will be handled by staff only and doors will be propped open wherever possible to avoid touching surfaces
Orders from the gift shop and galleries will still be available online and for curbside pickup, in addition to in-person at the museum!

Call for Entries! Filley Museum COVID Creation Challenge
Open to all mediums, forms & ages!
Community Art Exhibit
This CALL FOR ENTRY invitation is open to the public to anyone in our community and surrounding regions. We challenge you to do something artistic while you are at home practicing social distancing – use whatever media or talents are available to you to create!
As long as plans for Pratt County re-opening continue to progress and the climate is safe for individuals to visit us in small numbers with masks and precautions, the Filley Museum will host a week-long come and go public community exhibit in our Lobby (likely without an opening event due to social distancing needs). The week-long exhibit will likely take place around the last week of July or the beginning of August. So we ask that you fill out your entry form now and drop off your artwork starting anytime AFTER July 25th, 2020. The exhibit will take place the week of August 8th through 15th. More details will be announced soon, but the time to create is NOW! All we need to know is who plans to be present! Fill out our short 5 question form below if you intend to participate.
When you drop your artwork at the museum, we will have you make your own handwritten label with Artist name, title, etc.

Movie @ The Barron
During this time, each Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, the Barron will be offering curbside service of your favorite popcorn, drink, caramel popcorn, cotton candy, candy & pickles. Orders can be placed by pulling into the yellow lined area at the front of the theater or by calling or texting 620-388-5236. For shorter wait times, you may preorder and giving an estimated time of arrival.
