Extension Master Gardener Training
February 6, 2019 – March 27, 2019
Training will be a 8 week long class with a workshop each Wednesday. Registration will be $80 for anyone who signs up before October 1, 2018 and $100 for anyone to sign up after that date. Second Annual Hot & Cold Big Rig Truck Show
Saturday, October 6
Corner of Highway 61 and Highway 54
After more than 55 years of experience in the trucking industry, Southwest Truck Parts will host the second annual “Hot & Cold Big Rig Truck Show.” There will be over 20 truck industry vendor displays, a kid’s zone with train rides, sand pit, balloon animals and more; food vendors and end the night with a free concert by the Aaron Woods Band followed by a laser light show and fireworks. Witches & Brew – Ladies Night Out
Thursday, October 11 – 5:00 – 8:30 pm
There will be fun, fashion, refreshments and drawings! The Grand Prize drawing is valued at more than $500 and includes a genius 3-D mammogram screening from Pratt Regional Medical Center. The Family Crisis Center will also be at the Chamber with information on Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Break out your costumes Ladies as we are also having a costume contest that night. Voting will be done online so stop by the Chamber and let John Patton Photography take your picture for contest entry. Prizes will be awarded for the entry with the most votes!

There will be a silent auction, prizes for Bunco winners and a raffle for an exclusive Serena Williams designed purple purse! Pick up your registration form at the Family Crisis Center located at 401 S. Main Street or at the Chamber. Tickets must be purchased in advance and no later than October 15.

Reception, judging, and presentation of Best of Show award: Friday October 5, 2018 from 6-8pm.
Exhibition Juror: Artist educator David Barnes, is the Director of the Shafer Art Gallery in Great Bend Kansas. He has an MFA in painting from the Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard as well as a MA in History from Missouri State University. He has a long record of university teaching experience and has received numerous teaching awards and commendations including the prestigious Penn State University Excellence in Teaching Award. As a painter he has shown his work in national and international venues, been involved in numerous community art outreach endeavors as well as judged local and national juried art competitions.
